Brief History Of PASPIDA

 

The foundation stone of the Association was laid down in 1947 and it was named Motor Traders Association with only a few members. In 1948 it was renamed as Karachi Motor Parts Dealers Association.

In 1954, the Association extended the sphere of its activities to the whole of Pakistan and adopted the new name Pakistan Motor Traders Association. In 1958 the then Government introduced a scheme to recognize trade bodies with a view to enhance the value and making them more affective so that they could play their rightful role in the field of Trade, Commerce, Industry and Economy of the Country.

So in pursuance of the said scheme for recognition of Associations of Trade and Industry, The Pakistan Automobiles Spare Parts Importers & Dealers Association was incorporated on all Pakistan basis as B Class Association in 1961. With the efforts of the seniors PASPIDA was upgraded as A Class Association in 1971 by the Director of Trade Organization, Ministry of Commerce, Government of Pakistan.

The Director General of the Trade Organizations, Ministry of Commerce, Government of Pakistan re-licensed the Association in 2008 under the Trade Organization 2007 issued by the President of Pakistan.

The Pakistan Automobile Spare Parts Importers & Dealers Association (PASPIDA) affiliated with The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry, Karachi, an apex Trade Body of Pakistan.
